The Dargaville Wearable Arts is being held on 21 & 22 May 2021 at the Dargaville Town Hall. Entry form and conditions are now available. Our categories will be Reduce Reuse Recycle, Avant Garde and Our Natural Environment.
The Kaipara Art Awards will be taking place in October, and the Mangawhai Artists Inc in conjunction with Dargaville Arts Association Inc are busy preparing for this. Entry forms will be available in the near future.

The Gallery looks and feels warm and cosy at present as 90% of the walls are covered in amazing quilts crafted by members of the Dargaville Quilters. Only on show until Wednesday 22 May at 3 pm. Don’t miss out.
MingMing is a Dargaville local who is blind. He has many passions including music, cricket and art and participating in each with an enthusiasm and joy which is truly outstanding. MingMing’s art involves bright colours and creating mixed media with texture and depth.
Robyn Nathan has been working as a professional artist for 25+ years. She studied at Sydney College of the Arts BA Visual Arts graduating 1993 and later at the Southern Cross University (Hon) in Lismore, NSW.
The collection of prints exhibited in He Wairua nga Taonga are inspired from her love and connection to the spirit of the land expressed through cosmological / mythological patterning relating to her cultural heritage (Te Roroa / Ngati Whatua).
Landmarks of the Northern Wairoa - Moments caught in water colour by Marama Ingle is a small selection of Marama’s work from the last 70 years. Paintings have created from original sketches and supporting photos taken at the time, and they capture historic aspects of Dargaville and out native flora. The exhibition also includes local scenes painted on large toheroa shells.

The paper produced by Zizania Paper Products has been created from Manchurian Rice Grass (Latin name zizania latifolia), flax, papyrus, pampus, and kumara skins.
